Fence and shed painting in Landbeach
Garden timber weathers faster than the house. Fence panels go grey and green, posts rot at ground level, and shed doors swell once the paint has worn through. We clean off moss and algae with an anti-fungal wash, scrape back any flaking paint on sheds and gates, and give it all time to dry before the first coat.
Paint or stain is up to you. An opaque fence paint gives one solid colour; a stain lets the grain through and is easier to refresh. Graham can paint small samples so you can compare them on your own timber.
Sheds, summerhouses and workshops
Some gardens also have a summerhouse or workshop, and these get the same preparation as house joinery: sound edges, primed bare timber and two coats. John Dunn in Cambridge told us he and his wife were both pleased with how Denes left their shed. There is more on our shed and summerhouse page.

How we approach shed, fence & gate painting
Fences are washed with an anti-fungal solution, gently on rough-sawn panels, and left to dry. Posts and gravel boards get full coverage because they fail first. Sheds and gates are scraped, sanded and primed where bare, with ironmongery masked. Long straight runs may be sprayed with the Graco where overspray can be controlled; otherwise it's brushed. The full method, products and FAQs are on our shed, fence & gate painting page.
