Fence and shed painting around Waterbeach gardens
Detached and semi-detached homes make up about 63% of the village, and plots like those often have fencing on two or three sides. The posts and gravel boards at the base fail first, so they get a proper coat. On sheds, the boards nearest the ground take the splashback and need most attention.
We can only paint fences that belong to you, or the neighbour's side with their agreement, so it helps to check boundaries before Graham visits.
Choosing paint or stain
Opaque garden paint hides the grain and turns a shed into a feature. A stain lets the grain show through and is easier to recoat later. John Dunn in Cambridge wrote that he and his wife were delighted with their shed after Denes finished it, and there are more comments like his on our reviews page.
Our main shed and fence painting page covers gates and colour choice. Late spring to early autumn usually gives the dry spells this work needs.

How we approach shed, fence & gate painting
Moss, algae and dirt are cleaned off, with an anti-fungal wash where the timber suits it and a gentler method on rough-sawn panels. Flaking paint is scraped and sanded, plants and paving are covered, and the wood is left to dry. Rotten boards or posts are flagged first, and our carpenter or master builder can replace them. The full method, products and FAQs are on our shed, fence & gate painting page.
