Painter and decorator in Stotfold
Our base is in Landbeach, north of Cambridge, roughly 33 miles by road from Stotfold. That's a longer trip than the villages around the city, so Graham plans visits and work days with care, but the service is the same: a visit, a written quotation and a qualified team.
Stotfold's 9,017 residents live mostly in houses. Semi-detached homes are the largest group at about 41%, with detached houses at a third. Three-quarters of households own their home, and 40% have a mortgage, the biggest single tenure group in the town.
A working watermill and a lot of new building
The town's history shows in Stotfold Watermill, a Grade II listed working mill on the Ivel, and in the Grade II* Church of St Mary the Virgin, built of flint with Ashwell clunch dressings. About 350 homes predate 1919.
Since 2009 alone, Council Tax records show around 1,080 new homes, and the built-up area also takes in the adjoining Fairfield Park development. New houses usually need their first proper repaint after a few years, once the early hairline cracks have appeared and been filled.
