Before you pick a frame colour
If your house is in the Bottisham conservation area, or is one of the village's 25 listed buildings, East Cambridgeshire District Council should be asked before any change of frame colour. Shared-ownership households, 2.4% of the village, and the 15% renting from a social landlord should ask their housing provider first.
Flats are rare here, under 7% of homes. If you live in one, the freeholder or managing agent will usually need to agree.
How the frames are sprayed
We wash and degrease each frame, key the surface so the coating grips, and mask glass, seals, handles and the brickwork around it. The coating is one made for uPVC, sprayed at your house. We only spray in dry, mild conditions, which in practice means booking between spring and early autumn. Doors are covered on our uPVC door spraying page.
On a 1960s Park Estate house where the original windows have since been replaced in uPVC, respraying is a way to change their colour without replacing them again.

How we approach upvc spraying
We'd go round the house with you, list each window, door and conservatory frame to be sprayed and put them in the written quotation. Cleaning, degreasing and keying come before masking. The spraying is booked for a settled spell, and because Bottisham is about 12 minutes from Landbeach, moving to a better day is easy if the forecast changes. The full method, products and FAQs are on our upvc spraying page.
