uPVC spraying for Waterbeach frames that have gone yellow
Around 1,240 properties in the village date from those decades, so there are likely to be many frames that still seal and open properly but have yellowed or turned chalky. Spraying changes their colour while the glass, seals and fittings stay where they are.
Graham checks each frame when he visits. If one is cracked or its seals have failed, he'll tell you a coating isn't the right answer for it. Front doors, French doors and conservatory frames can be done in the same way.
Check the conservation area before changing colour
Waterbeach has its own conservation area. If your home falls within it, ask South Cambridgeshire District Council whether a new window colour needs approval before you settle on one.
Because the work happens outside, it depends on the weather, and we book it from spring to early autumn. More detail is on our main uPVC spraying page.

How we approach upvc spraying
Each frame is washed and degreased to lift the film that builds up on plastic outdoors, then keyed so the coating has something to grip. Tape and sheeting go over the glass, seals, handles, sills and nearby brickwork. We then spray on site in coatings made for uPVC, choosing dry, mild days for the work. The full method, products and FAQs are on our upvc spraying page.
