Changing frame colour without new windows
Spraying colours the frames where they sit. The glass, seals and handles stay in place, and nothing is refitted. We clean and degrease the frames, key the surface lightly, mask the glass, seals, sills and brickwork, then spray thin coats of a coating made for uPVC.
Graham looks at every frame during his visit. A window that is cracked or has failed seals needs replacing, and he will tell you that plainly rather than spray over it.
uPVC spraying for Milton houses and the conservation area
Houses make up the great majority of Milton's homes, with flats at around 10%, so most enquiries here will be for a full set of windows plus a front or back door. A door is a good place to try a darker grey or green before committing to every frame.
If you live inside Milton's conservation area, check with South Cambridgeshire District Council before changing the colour of your windows. You can read more about the process on our uPVC spraying page.

How we approach upvc spraying
Each frame is washed and degreased, lightly abraded, and masked tightly at the glass, seals and brick. We spray on site in thin coats with drying time between them, using coatings designed for uPVC. The work depends on dry, mild weather, so we book it from spring to early autumn. The full method, products and FAQs are on our upvc spraying page.
