Keeping the kitchen you have
A refit means worktops, tiling and plumbing as well as doors. Painting changes the fronts, end panels and plinths and leaves the rest in use. We can oil timber worktops with Osmo at the same time if they need it.
What the doors are made from matters more than their age. Painted timber and MDF are good candidates; wrapped and glossy laminates often aren't, and Graham will say so at the visit.
Brush or spray in a Fen Ditton kitchen
A third of the parish's homes have four or more bedrooms, and larger houses often have long runs of units, which suit our Graco Ultra cordless airless handheld sprayer. Framed doors and small kitchens are often quicker and neater by brush.
With nearly one home in five rented privately, landlords may want units refreshed between lets in a wipeable satin. Our kitchen cabinet respray page sets out each stage.

How we approach kitchen cabinet painting
Doors and drawer fronts are taken off, numbered and stored with their hinges. We degrease every surface, sand with Mirka dust-free sanders, fill chips and dents, and prime with a Zinsser primer matched to the material. Two finish coats follow, then the doors are rehung and adjusted so they close evenly. The full method, products and FAQs are on our kitchen cabinet painting page.
