Respraying frames in Huntingdon
Spraying gives the frames a new colour where they stand, so the glazing, seals and handles stay put. Each frame is cleaned and degreased, lightly keyed, masked off from glass, sills and brick, and then sprayed on site in a coating made for uPVC.
About 82% of homes in the town are houses, and for those the front door, back door and conservatory frames can be done alongside the windows. In a flat, the frames may belong to the building rather than to you, so check your lease or with the managing agent first.
Conservation areas and the weather
Huntingdon and Hartford both have conservation areas. If you live in one, ask Huntingdonshire District Council before changing frame colour. Elsewhere, Graham can bring samples to hold against your brick or render in daylight.
Because the spraying happens outside, it depends on dry, mild days, which makes spring to early autumn the easiest time to book. Timber windows on the same house can be brush-painted to match through our house painting service.

How we approach upvc spraying
We look at every Huntingdon frame first and point out any cracked profiles or misted units, since a coating won't repair them. Then the frames are cleaned, degreased and keyed, the glass, seals and surrounding brick masked, and the coating sprayed in thin coats with drying time between them. The full method, products and FAQs are on our upvc spraying page.
