Exteriors across a mixed town
About 28% of homes are terraced and a similar share detached, so the work varies a lot. A terrace often has only a front elevation and a rear wall, while a detached house brings four sides, gable ends and a full roofline of fascias and soffits. Graham walks round every property and lists the repairs before quoting.
Roughly 3,000 homes were built between 1955 and 1972, and houses of that period can mix brick with rendered or clad panels. Each surface needs its own product, and masonry paint has to let the wall breathe.
Colour choices near the old town
If your house is listed or in a conservation area, check with Huntingdonshire District Council before a significant change of colour. We can paint test patches on a discreet wall so you can see a shade in daylight first.
Damp, shaded walls grow algae, and painting over it traps the growth underneath. We jet wash with an anti-fungal wash, let the wall dry, then scrape, fill and prime. You can see the method on a mould-affected Cambridge exterior.

How we approach exterior painting
On a Huntingdon exterior we survey first, then anti-fungal jet wash and allow drying time. Loose paint is scraped and sanded, cracks filled with exterior filler, and bare timber primed and undercoated. Windows, doors, paths and plants are masked, and finish coats go on in dry, mild weather, with work paused if rain is due. The full method, products and FAQs are on our exterior painting page.
