Frames worth keeping
If the glazing still seals and the frames are sound, spraying changes their colour without taking anything out. The frames are cleaned, degreased and keyed, the glass, seals and brickwork masked, and coatings made for uPVC are sprayed on site.
Because the work is outdoors it depends on the weather. Spring to early autumn gives the best results, and we will move the day rather than spray in damp conditions.
Conservation areas and flats
If your house sits in the Earning Street or Post Street conservation area, check with the district council before changing the frame colour. Around 20% of homes in the town are flats, and if yours is one, the freeholder or management company may need to agree as well. More detail is on our uPVC respraying page.

How we approach upvc spraying
Graham checks each frame for cracks or failed seals before quoting, as a coating cannot rescue a window that needs replacing. On the day, frames are washed and degreased, lightly abraded, masked off and sprayed in thin coats of uPVC coating with drying time between them, so the windows can be opened again once cured. The full method, products and FAQs are on our upvc spraying page.
