Homes from 1965 to 1999
Add the 1,250 or so homes built between 1983 and 1999, and almost half the town falls in the decades when uPVC became the usual window. Many of those frames still seal well but have gone dull or yellowed, and spraying gives them a new colour without disturbing the glazing.
About 28% of Newmarket homes are flats. If yours is one, the windows may be the freeholder's or management company's responsibility, so check before booking a colour change. Houses are simpler, and a front door is a sensible first step if you're trying a darker colour.
Before you change colour in the conservation area
If your home is inside the Newmarket conservation area, ask West Suffolk Council whether a change of frame colour needs approval. Graham can come out and quote while you check.
If you're also repainting walls, sills or fascias, you can combine the jobs with our exterior house painting team.

How we approach upvc spraying
We start by cleaning and degreasing every frame, then give the plastic a light abrasion so the coating has a key. Glass, seals, handles and the brickwork round each window are masked off. Spraying happens on site in coatings made for uPVC, booked for dry, mild days between spring and early autumn. The full method, products and FAQs are on our upvc spraying page.
