uPVC spraying on Chatteris homes from the 1960s to the 1990s
The years 1983 to 1999 alone account for about 1,430 properties. Frames that still seal and open well but have yellowed or gone chalky can take a new colour without replacement, so the glass, seals and fittings stay where they are.
Graham inspects each frame before quoting. If one is cracked or its seals have failed, he'll tell you spraying won't put it right.
Conservation area and colour choice
Chatteris has a conservation area, and Fenland District Council is the planning authority. If your home is inside it, check whether a new frame colour needs approval before choosing.
Houses make up about 92% of homes in the town, so front doors and conservatory frames are often done alongside the windows. Because the work is outdoors, we book it from spring to early autumn. See uPVC spraying for the full process.

How we approach upvc spraying
Frames are washed and degreased to remove the grime and film that build up outdoors, then keyed to give the coating grip. Masking then covers the glass, rubber seals, handles, sills and surrounding brick. Spraying is done on site in coatings made for uPVC, in thin coats, on dry and mild days. The full method, products and FAQs are on our upvc spraying page.
