Respraying uPVC windows in Over
Each frame is cleaned and degreased, keyed so the coating can grip, and masked away from the glass and seals. It is then sprayed on site in a coating made for uPVC.
Over is almost entirely houses, with flats making up just 4.5% of homes, so an enquiry usually covers a whole house of windows. Front doors, French doors and conservatory frames can be done in the same visit.
Weather and the conservation area
Spraying depends on the weather, so it's best booked from spring to early autumn.
If you live inside the Over conservation area, check with South Cambridgeshire District Council before changing the colour of your frames. Graham can bring samples to hold against your brick in daylight, and any timber frames on the house can be brush-painted to match through our exterior painting service.

How we approach upvc spraying
On an Over house of the 1970s or 1980s we wash and degrease each frame, key the surface, and mask glass, seals, sills and brickwork before spraying a uPVC coating on site. These jobs are booked from spring to early autumn, and we move the day if the weather turns against us. The full method, products and FAQs are on our upvc spraying page.
