The 1965 to 1999 houses
Roughly 46% of local homes date from 1965 to 1999. Where those frames are sound, respraying on site changes their colour without disturbing the glazing or seals. Graham checks each frame first, since a coating can't put right a cracked profile or a failed seal.
About four in five homes here are houses, so most jobs cover a full set of windows plus doors. In flats, frames are often the freeholder's responsibility, so check before arranging a colour change.
Conservation area checks
If you live inside the Royston conservation area, ask North Hertfordshire District Council whether changing the colour of your windows needs approval. Outside it, a front door is a sensible place to try a darker shade before committing to every window.
Walls and fascias that need attention can be painted at the same time under our house painting service.

How we approach upvc spraying
Cleaning comes first: each frame is degreased to remove the grime that settles on plastic outdoors. A light abrasion then keys the surface. We mask glass, rubber seals, handles and the brick or render around the frame, then spray on site in coatings made for uPVC, booking the work between spring and early autumn when the weather is dry. The full method, products and FAQs are on our upvc spraying page.
