From developer white to your own colours
With most of the housing stock built since 2000, interior decorating in Cambourne is rarely about rescuing crumbling plaster. It is more often about replacing a thin contract emulsion that shows every fingermark, and painting woodwork that has gone from bright white to cream.
Because the walls are generally sound, the time goes into the details that make a finish last: filling hairline cracks where new plaster has shrunk, sanding back runs on skirtings and choosing a paint that can be wiped. Little Greene Intelligent Matt Emulsion is a good fit for busy family hallways.
Rented homes and end-of-tenancy work
About 761 households, roughly 17%, rented privately in 2021, and a further 15% rented from a social landlord. For landlords and letting agents we fill fixing holes, stain-block marks with Zinsser and repaint in a neutral, touch-up-friendly finish so the property is ready to photograph and let. The Westminster College rooms show how we handle a run of similar rooms to a timetable.

How we approach interior decorating
For a typical Cambourne house from the 2000s we start with the ceilings, fill the settlement cracks at corners and joins, then sand with Mirka dust-free sanders so the rest of the house stays clean. Walls get two coats of a washable matt, and doors and skirtings are keyed and finished in satin or eggshell. The full method, products and FAQs are on our interior decorating page.
