Fence and shed painting in Comberton
Grey, algae-streaked panels and a silvered shed are the usual starting point. We clean with an anti-fungal wash where the timber can take it, use a gentler approach on soft rough-sawn panels, and let everything dry fully before any finish goes on.
Posts and gravel boards at the base of a fence fail first, so they get a proper coat. On sheds we paint the door edges and the underside of window frames, where water gets in.
Paint, stain or treatment
Opaque garden paint gives an even colour across boards that have weathered differently, while stain keeps the grain showing and is easier to recoat later. Graham will suggest which suits your timber. We can only paint your own fences, or a neighbour's side with their agreement.
If the house needs work too, exterior painting in Comberton can be booked alongside.

How we approach shed, fence & gate painting
We wait for dry timber and a settled forecast, usually from late spring to early autumn. Plants and paving are protected, loose fibres sanded back, and flaking paint on sheds and gates scraped off. Long fence runs may be sprayed with our Graco cordless sprayer, but only when overspray can be controlled; otherwise it's brush work. The full method, products and FAQs are on our shed, fence & gate painting page.
