Letting turnarounds in Great Shelford
The 2021 Census counted 366 privately rented households in the village and 346 renting from a social landlord. Between tenancies, those homes need marks made good, stains blocked and tired rooms repainted, often against a fixed date.
We use washable finishes such as Little Greene Intelligent Matt Emulsion, which touches up well at the next changeover, and our builder and carpenter handle small repairs in the same visit. Thomas Horsten, a Cambridge landlord, had a room stripped and repainted in time for tenants viewing that weekend, though we can't promise that speed on every job.
Shops, offices and larger buildings
For a shop or office, we agree working areas and hours first, keep exits clear and sand with Mirka dust-free sanders. Shopfronts can be done early or in quieter spells so the door stays open. Our exterior house painting page covers the survey and repairs for outside walls.
For larger jobs, a team of 12 lets us finish to a deadline; we decorated 38 rooms at Westminster College around the college's schedule.

How we approach commercial painting
On a Great Shelford rental we fix the handover date, then wash down or strip, fill fixings, seal marks with Zinsser and repaint in a washable matt. Woodwork is refreshed in satin. For business premises we agree the room order and hours, put up wet-paint signs, keep walkways clear and tidy every evening. The full method, products and FAQs are on our commercial painting page.
