About us
Graham Halpenny Decorators is a Dulux Select painting and decorating company based in Landbeach, just north of Cambridge. Graham visits every job himself and writes every quotation; Belinda organises the projects and keeps customers informed.
Our team of 12 decorators works for homeowners, landlords, offices, schools and colleges across Cambridge and the villages around it. A tidy house at the end of each day is part of every job, and that's where you come in.
What you'll do
- Protecting floors, furniture and fittings with dust sheets and masking before work starts.
- Stripping wallpaper, filling and sanding under the direction of the decorators.
- Carrying materials, setting up steps and towers safely, and fetching supplies.
- Clearing up and cleaning each room at the end of the day, so the customer's home is left tidy.
What you need
- Reliable, careful and happy to work in people's homes.
- Fit for physical work, including carrying and working at height on steps.
- To be registered for CIS with HMRC, or willing to register.
- A full UK driving licence and your own transport: our jobs are spread across Cambridge and the towns and villages around it.
- The right to work in the UK.
Welcome, but not essential
- Experience labouring on building or decorating jobs.
- An interest in learning the decorating trade.
